From Validation to Delivery

Eight gated steps from first inquiry to year-20 operation — covering feed assessment, process design, fabrication, FAT, shipping, SAT, commissioning and lifecycle support. Each capability is documented with its own deliverables list, decision gates and an explicit statement of what we do — and what we do not — in-house.

Project Lifecycle

Eight Steps from Inquiry to Year-20 Support

Every EvapCryst project moves through these eight gated stages. Each has defined inputs, deliverables and decision gates. Stages 1–4 cover design and engineering; 5–8 cover manufacturing, delivery and lifecycle.

Step 01

Inquiry & Feed Assessment

Client submits project parameters and (ideally) feed sample. EvapCryst returns feasibility note and indicative scope within 2 business days.

Step 02

Process Design & Process Package

Heat & mass balance, simplified PFD, equipment sizing, material selection. Client review and sign-off at defined gates.

Step 03

Detailed Engineering & 3D Design

P&ID, equipment drawings, piping isometrics, civil and electrical interface. 3D model review with client before fabrication release.

Step 04

Testing & Pilot Validation

Bench-scale or pilot trials (where required) to verify scaling, crystal PSD, material compatibility and performance assumptions.

Step 05

Fabrication & Quality Control

Welding per WPS / PQR, NDE, pressure testing, material traceability. Third-party inspection witnesses per client request.

Step 06

FAT & Shipping

Factory Acceptance Test, export-grade crating, container loading, seaworthy packaging, shipping documentation (COO, BL, packing list).

Step 07

SAT & Commissioning

Site Acceptance Test, cold/hot commissioning, contractual performance test against guarantee curves, operator training.

Step 08

Handover & After-sales

Final documentation, O&M manual transfer, remote monitoring activation, scheduled inspection and spare parts program.

Design & Engineering

01

Process Design & Feasibility Study

The disciplined front end. Feed characterization (TDS, COD, viscosity, pH, anion/cation screen), process-route selection (MVR, multi-effect, TVR or hybrid), simplified PFD, major-equipment sizing, indicative CAPEX — the engineering basis on which every downstream decision rests.

Deliverables
  • Feed characterization report
  • Heat & mass balance
  • Simplified PFD & equipment list
  • Indicative CAPEX & utility load
02

Engineering & 3D Design

Detailed engineering converts the process package into a buildable plant. P&ID development, equipment datasheets, piping isometrics, structural and electrical interface, 3D model for clash detection and client review. All deliverables in English.

Deliverables
  • P&ID & equipment datasheets
  • Piping isometrics & layout
  • 3D model & clash detection
  • Instrument & motor list
03

Testing & Pilot Validation

Honestly tiered to match the actual risk — not a one-size-fits-all add-on. Tier 1 in-house feed assessment is the baseline. Tier 2 pilot trials run through qualified partners where scaling, PSD or material compatibility need verification. Tier 3 independent-lab referral for pharma-grade or battery-grade streams where customer-side verification is appropriate.

Three-tier capability
  • Tier 1 — In-house: feed characterization & feasibility
  • Tier 2 — Partner-supported: pilot trials & specialized analysis
  • Tier 3 — Independent: customer-side / third-party verification
04

Why Tiered Testing Matters

Misrepresenting testing depth is the fastest way to lose a client's trust. Where testing is partner-supported or referred to independent labs, it is labeled as such in every proposal and every data sheet. Where pilot trials are recommended but the client chooses to skip them, the resulting performance assumptions are documented and signed off before equipment commitment.

Honesty safeguards
  • No over-claiming of in-house capability
  • Partner tests co-issued and clearly labeled
  • Skip-trial decisions documented and signed

Manufacturing & Quality

05

Fabrication & Quality Control

QC documentation is the single most verified deliverable for overseas buyers. Every weld, every material, every pressure test is traceable. Fabrication runs under documented WPS / PQR / WPQ, with NDE (RT, UT, PT, MT), hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing per ASME / PED / GB. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV, Lloyd's) at material, fabrication, FAT and shipping stages on request.

QC deliverables
  • Welding procedures (WPS / PQR / WPQ)
  • Material traceability (EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, PMI)
  • NDE reports & pressure-test logs
  • As-built data book (English)
06

Material Options

Material specification is driven by feed chemistry, chloride content, pH, temperature and purity targets. Typical selections range from baseline SS 304 for clean streams to Hastelloy C-276 for strong-acid service. Selection must be confirmed by corrosion testing on the actual feed matrix — indicative cost deltas vary with market conditions.

Certifications

Codes & Compliance

Where certifications are listed, they are listed honestly. Where a stamp is not yet held, we label it as such and route through partners who hold it. Subject to project requirements — not every project needs every stamp.

ISO 9001

Quality management

ASME (U / S / R)

Pressure vessel stamps

PED (CE)

European customers

CRN

Canadian registration

GB (China)

Domestic codes

Specific certification scope varies by product line and project. Subject to project requirements — where a required stamp is not held in-house, EvapCryst routes the relevant scope through a qualified partner and discloses this transparently in the proposal.
#lifecycle

Delivery & Lifecycle Services

07

FAT / SAT / Commissioning

Factory Acceptance Test verifies mechanical integrity, instrumentation loops and documentation before shipping. Site Acceptance Test confirms post-installation mechanical verification, piping and instrument checks. Cold and hot commissioning follow, ending with the contractual performance test against guarantee curves (capacity, concentration, crystal PSD, specific energy consumption) and classroom plus on-the-job operator training.

Acceptance deliverables
  • FAT protocol & report (pre-shipment)
  • SAT & pre-commissioning walk-down
  • Performance test against guarantees
  • Operator training (classroom + OJT)
08

Remote Support & Spare Parts

Secure remote SCADA access enables first-line fault diagnosis and parameter optimization without site travel. Critical spare parts kits are pre-positioned for the first 2 years of operation; long-lead items are identified in the proposal. On-site engineer dispatch is available for SAT, commissioning and major interventions, with visa and travel coordinated with the client.

Lifecycle deliverables
  • 24/7 remote diagnostics (secure VPN)
  • Recommended spare parts kits (2-year)
  • Scheduled inspection & performance audits
  • Revamp / debottlenecking studies

Honest Representation

What We Honestly Do — and Don't

Capabilities stated honestly — so you know exactly what you are buying and where our accountability ends. Boundaries exist for engineering honesty, not for diffusing responsibility.

In-house

Process vessels, heat exchangers, separators, crystallizer bodies, piping, automation architecture & programming. Fabricated, tested and factory-accepted under EvapCryst quality control.

Partner-integrated

Vapor compressors, vacuum systems, centrifuges, filters, specialized valves. Selected from pre-qualified partners, integrated by EvapCryst engineering. We remain your single point of accountability.

Referred / Independent

Tier 3 testing for pharma-grade and battery-grade streams, code stamps not held in-house (routed through qualified partners with full disclosure). Honest labeling in every proposal.

Single accountable integrator. For every project, EvapCryst is the single accountable integrator across all three scopes — in-house, partner-integrated and referred. Boundaries are stated for engineering honesty, not for diffusing responsibility. Where a capability is not held in-house, it is disclosed transparently and routed through a qualified partner with the partner's name on the data book.
